The amusing part of any of it is that a constructive response is actually expected after displaying an attitude of that nature.
A few tips for you Junkey- :
A) If you wish to be welcomed to a server, once there is one established with all the traits you desire, you may wish to start off on a better footing that referring to everyone that may be the ones to release said server, as a bunch of "half assed lazy ****". By the way, assed, is not a word within the English language.
B) Try before you criticize. Most of us set out on our journey to create our servers with little to no knowledge. Even the most experienced of us are still learning everyday. If you yourself can not produce the desired result, do not expect others to do so for you, without them first stating they can.
C) If you have tried numerous servers, and each server has the same issue, stop and take a minute to think. This may be a good sign that there is not a fix for the issue at the current time. This is a far cry from being lazy. It is a lack of options.
While I try to stay out of most quarrels here,and help when and if I can, this one was a bit too personal.
My server has been off the ground for 5 months now. We may be small, but my players are loyal and happy. The point is, Purity was started, worked, and completed with nearly no help from the server community.
This is not because they were unwilling, but because I'd rather do it myself. One learns little simply from mimicking others work.
The time it takes to get a server setup, let alone established, and then to KEEP it running is much more than anything people of your nature could ever fathom. It is not only amusing to myself, and probably others, to see a comment of this fortitude from somebody who wishes to join a server after, but also quite disappointing to see this kind of view expressed from the very people that we are trying to provide the experience for.
Luckily, most, if not all of us, are smart enough to know that you are not speaking on behalf of the average player, but rather doing nothing more that exerting a "half ass and lazy" response to a matter that could have simply been asked with a tone of politeness and respect.
I truly hope that the image you have just painted of yourself does not follow you to whichever server you decide to rest your feet. If it does, I can assure you that your time there will not only be unpleasant for yourself, but also everyone else as well. In turn, your time on any server will be short lived without a severe attitude change towards the staff that provides your place of play. Of this, I can be sure.
