First of all, let me say i do really enjoy most of the work done here and its great if not awesome work. I do apologize if my post may seem like nub questions but to be honest, I am new to implementation and desperately seeking your help/guidance to point me to the right direction on certain implementation.
1. Mob/Boss Spawn Time. I search almost everywhere including the forum here as well as in another forum but I came down with nothing. Maybe I am not looking at the right place but i have tried and still i am clueless as to where i should look next. I check on the "dbo.mobs" in the shaiya table but nothing to point me to spawn time. Another thing is that, what does the "Day, Size, NormalTime and Normalstep" row in the table "dbo.mobs" do or whats the purpose of these row?
(Edit: Still no idea how this work, but maybe soon)
2. Fortune Bag (FB) and random item drop implementation. I managed to look for the fortune bag id in the dbo.items (but its only 1 that look like fortune bag, the actual Fortune Bag lvl 1-5 in the DB look like a small red packet letter and I cant open it). I managed to get the 1st version of FB to include to some of the mob (dbo.mobitems) drop and it was successful. But I am lost as how do we change the “grade” of item inside the FB and not only that, my version of FB is only 1 level (with ????1 word on it). I saw on Evo Server (before it closed down). They have like 4 lvl of FB; FB lvl3, FB lvl4, FB lvl5 and FB lvl6. How do we do this? Is this done at the client side or server side?
(Edit: Answer is? Well first must like to thank ProfNerwosol for his good answer and without it I will still be clueless. So finally i managed to configure the Fortune Bag with the type of drop i wanted. All you need to do is first "You need to set proper value for the Fortune Bag in DB. What drops from FB is set in ItemCreate.ini. Try and look through the DB. Like Mystery Charm Box, etc. You'll figure it out."
There is more to this simple description but do little more study of the Database (table "dbo.items") as well a little "trial and error", you will figure out the answer. Hopefully this would be useful to those seeking to do something like this.
3. Snob Box and Fortune Coins. I see in Evo and also Kingdom of Shaiya Server, the Snob box can be open and contain Fortune Coins. I managed to include the snob box but its cant be open. Is there some way I can fix this? Should i look at item.sdata to fix this? or it is located somewhere else.
(Edit: Answer: Finally I got this to work. The keyword here is "Special". Just need to set to 42 inside the dbo.items table and follow the above (Answer No 2) edit ur itemcreate.ini..Walah! U will get it to work with the drop u want it to be..took me a good whole few hours to figure it out)
4. Item Stacking: With my Shaiya client, I cannot stack the common item like lapis. I tried looking all over the place but came with no good answer on how we could change the stack from 1 to 5 or more. I don’t know where to look to change this anymore. I tried looking at *.sdata but i dont really know what i need to look at.
(EDIT: Answer to this is at the Database > dbo.items > Count) Thanks "whiteyadam" for the answer
5. Custom NPC. I yet to figure out to add Permanent NPC in the Game. Maybe someone kind enough to point me to the right direction? Will do a little searching on the forum and update here if I found the answer.
(Edit: Answer (Maybe) To add NPC so it stay permanent (and depending on the purpose of your NPC), you need to edit 2 files. One is NpcQuest.SData (so u can change some of the thing inside) and another is Map (i.e. svmap) at the server side. To Edit the map u need a "svmaptool" (search the forum here to download the file) to edit. I am yet to learn how to add the NPC using the svmaptool. If successful I will write the step here)
Good Sir and Ma'am of elitepvper, I am very sorry if the post seem too much to ask but if I have other way I would prefer to not trouble you with my problem, and I am desperately needing ur help and guidance to point me to the right direction. Thank you in advance and I am very looking forward to hear from you all.
Best Regards,
James
