While reading some tutorials in elitepvp
i want to know how to secure database from hack and threads
only by closing port's in firewall or what ?
I'm sorry but as first time i touch shaiya i want to know
before i attempt to make a public server

Hi,
normal just close your SQL Port ( 1433) then nobody can use sql server for bad things. But when you use PHP Scripts that connect to your mssql Server then you have to watch for sql injection. It´s more secure the php files then the sql server.

I'm using all scripts from epvp and those who release say's are 100% SQL Injection fixed , em i safe with that ?

If you want an additional layer, change game and login ports.

Still useless when don´t changing game.exe Version and Moleboxed it. It takes 10 Seconds to get the connected game ports
