Question about Quest

Hi everybody

Days ago, I just tried to edit NPCQuest.SDATA to make a new NPC that has quest for player. I edited both NPCQuest.SDATA on server side and client side, recomplite without an error. Then start game, in game, use GM summon that NPC, I could see that quest, but couldnt get it, click OK but nothing happen.

Anyone has ideal please hint me. Thank you

Have you edited the NpcQuest.SData using Shaiya Studio ?

Hi nubness,

Thank you for quick reply. Here what I did

1. I exported NPCQuest to CSV, then made new NPC, mapped QuestID to NPC. Went to QuestDetails, got new Quest, map NPC ID to Quest
2. I recomplited NPCQuest, put on server side. THen encrypted NPCQuest and added game client.
3. Start game server, use game client log in
4. Summoned that NPC, talked to him to get quest
5. Click OK => Nothing happend

Quests are a real pain in the *** if you ask me. I feel more comfortable doing some advanced ps_game.exe **** than creating a new quest. I recommend you copy a whole row of a quest that is similar to the quest you want to create and edit it to get to what you need. This will certainly work. You probably missed a few values that are critical for the quest, and it happens quite often.
