The 'Exp' field of svr-db and client items.sdata allows to define an absorption of not-periodic damage for all gears and accessories.
Doing some tests on my dev-server, it appears that the value of effect (the amount of adsorbed dmg) is finely displayed by the client ... but no dmg are actually absorbed.
Does someone success to have acc. or gear with working "base" absorption?
If so, did it require a patch of the ps_game.exe (to change computation) or a tuning of the DB ? (in mine I only changed the 'Exp' column of the Item table).
The question came during a relooking of the edition dialog of gears to add an "Absorption" field ... looks like a wrong good idea so far.
