First at all:
I know there are some threads about it, but it seems like some people do not think about it.
A lot of people here think they are high-skilled developer because the Shaiya-Setup was successfully done.

Download your server-files, set it up local, if you are getting stuck, use the search function.
If you are still lost, open a new thread with your question.


Please STOP open Threads with questions that has been asked on July, 2010
Also: Do not release your Server in Development Section if you have no clue about basic-stuff in SQL, Windows, PHP etc.

If you release your Server without any knowledge, there is NO wonder why you and your Server will be cracked/hacked, trolled etc.

There are too many Private-Servers around with developers who have no clue.

I know that you are thinking: my server would be better than others. BUT IT WON'T. Trust me.

You can do what you want to do, but don't come here if your Server was hacked, trolled or don't know how to fix 'DC while using webmall'

People only are '****** off' if your server was hacked or getting down because: 10 players. At this moment you won't get more than 20 players because of the text above.

You are only destroying the Community a bit more by opening a new server as a newbie.
Learn it, test, fixes, do all to get better - and if you are - think about public release.

Basically means don't release a server unless you know about how to run it, keep it running, and secure it on your own or through a knowledgeable team.

Actually this is not the problem with this ****.
The problem is the DDoSSers.
They destroy servers because they're jealous of the player count.
Most people don't have enough money for Anti DDoS that can withstand TaZ's power.

It is, take a look how many people got owned over primitive SQL injection or Remote-SQL because of 'Shaiya123' Password.

DDoS is just one of the problems. The real problem is the multitude of servers, especially **** ones.
