I agree with the do it yourself thing.
Back when I was younger and lacked the proper ability to pay for a dedicated server I needed someone to pay for it so I trusted a "friend".
Not to say this will happen to everyone, yet it did to me more than once, he/she bought the dedi, I did ALL the fantastic work, they didn't like it -.-, I had to change it, players didn't like it so they made me change it to how I had it before, I got ******, they locked me from the dedi(which was funny cuz I created an alt account on there in case that happened), I copied all my work and left.
After that the server went down within a week due to them not being able to run it.
Of course I probably have the worst luck possible so not saying this will happen to you.
Just make sure you are the one doing most the work and keep the dedicated server locked to you exclusively.
If they want on make them do it through teamviewer on your comp and log in that way.
This way you can not only monitor what they do, yet also close it out if they do something you don't want.
Plus they don't need the dedicated server pass this way.
This is not about trust it's about a successful business. Which running a server is like a business.
Just some helpful advice >.>
Also if you do have questions I guarantee 99% of your questions are answered on these forums.
Just search before posting a question. That personally annoys me when I see question after question posted and no one looks >.>
I've been on these forums for a long time so I know what's been answered and what hasn't xD
I literally check just to make sure sometimes >.>
Sometimes I'll feel nice and answer the questions, yet most the time I feel people should find it for themselves.
Doing it yourself gives you a greater sense of satisfaction and makes you want to do a better job with what you alone have created.
I've learned that over time as well

Just advice o.o..don't listen if you don't want.
