Maybe a lil help?

I was wondering if anyone may be able to help, i have droned this for the last couple hours and have looked absolutely everywhere. Being that im such a noob it may be right in front of me idk. I am trying to edit the cooldown and keeptime of a certain skill, i made my edits in the sql dbo.skills, and made the same edits in the client side .sdata and repacked. But when i login still has old cooldowns and keeptimes? Shut server down unpack data file and the info in the .sdata is correct to what i have edited as with the sql server.

So i suppose there must be some step i am missing?

am using the ep5 skills workaround maybe somewhere in the ps_game.exe?
any information you can give me to point me in the right direction wud be greatly appreciated

Skill Cooldowns are not hard coded in ps_game.exe - If you have edited both the database skill table, and the client side skill data, and restarted the server then it should work.

You want to edit the cooldown? You edited the [ResetTime] column, correct? And for KeepTime [KeepTime] You have properly formatted it?

If all of that is done, and the server has been reset (or the skills reloaded via server_mgr.exe game console) and the client sdata is in the client and loaded, then all should be well.

Yes, i opened the skill.sdata i extracted with LPH's tool inside of Castor's SHStudio and set the reset time of Dayfly lvl 2 and lvl 3 to 720 to match lvl 1, then i edit the KeepTime to be 25 on both lvl 2 and lvl 3. I save this and then make a patch using lph's tool again. I edited the SQL manually as castors sql query doesnt like me for skills, I did all this on a test server that was down while i was making the edits, upon startup i login and still see the same keeptime and resettimes as being 480 for reset and 40 for keep. I also tried encrypting the sdata before i put it into patcher to no avail, then decrypting sdata before patch and still nothing... oh well... I shall try again tommorow i think and see if i can get it to work

If the client side is showing the cooldown as being something different, then something is wrong with the saving/patching of the SData. You should find the python tools and try it manually.

yes i just reinstalled python as its been a while sinc ei have used it.. i will try to manually patch it in and update on my results ty for your help

weird that it shud be so easy yet i have so much problems... i used the python tools and tried editing sdata patching in through there and still not working double check client file and it shows edited times, and check sql server same values are there so i dunno
