[Help] ShadowKnight Server

i dont know if this is the right place to post this or not but we need your help elite pvp. Our server shadowknight has been shut down thanks to some hackers. If you can support us in anyway please help us to get it back up. One way you could help us is by donating anything you can afford. 1$ 2$ anything you can help us with. Another way you could help us is by watching some of our videos on youtube to increase our views which we would get money for that we will spend towards gettng our server back up and running.

thanks for your suggestion but i dont wana give up just yet when our gm hopes to get the server back up next week. All am trying to do is help him with bills. But thank you.

Do not at all take this the wrong way but, a lot of these servers get hacked. And well when that happens, the staff or Dev's need to learn where the attacks came in, and try fixing them. You can not really stop a hacker, especially if they really wanna be a little kid who didn't get their happy meal, then decide to take you down. It really is pathetic these hackers, but asking for donations to get it back up won't do much really. My best suggestion would be to do a little research about the SQL, Network Security, and other computer security basics. There are some good tutorials on here that help you close ports, and simple set up for running a server. But basically point is...if you can't secure a server, no point in accepting donations to get it back up just to be hacked again.


*Edit* Also, if people started donating every time a server got hacked, people would just make some lame server "claim" it got hacked just to get dibs on some cash. Completely pointless imo. Because then everyone will want to make posts here to ask for it.

Thank you QuacK your intentions were honorable. But These guys are correct we should never ask here for donations.

ShadowKnights was DDoSed and our provider terminated our service at a very bad time. But Thanks to our Loyal player base we were able to get back on line.
