Obelix and what the numbers stand for

sorry there is some stuff i never understand in obelix

like let's take zone 70:

[zone_70] and we have a long list of:

(811.56,45.12,796.88),(2852, 2856, 2860),0 alot of them.

masp cords and mobs id yes i understand but why the 0 and 1 and son on behind? and

bosses for 70:

bothmob should just be a unic number ok understand then we have the map, and a 1. is that how many mobs? time in sec for the spawn is next. ok.

but then we have the (100,2000))] what do that number do? rest is map cord. ok..

please i need to understand what i'm doing :-)

1 means only 1 mob is to be spawned. (In case of Haru, and others, there is two)

(100,2000) is (PortalMapID,PortalID) - As in GRB, you kill a boss, a portal opens. Or again, as in Haru, you kill his second form, CT opens.

so for CTII to spawn CTIII when they have mob id 4252 and 4253 this is the right way?

but how to setup the spawn then?

want 4253 to spawn when 4252 is killed.

and where do i get the portal id? becouse then there is a posibility to close all portals in map 74 and let it open one and one just like old CT.

but not that they are open how do i setup it to open it up and first off all how do i close it?

and let's say map 71-74 there is normal mobs, is it best to have them in obelix or directly in the map? i have them in the map and not in obelix atm and that's working. but i realy don't get spawn time. could that be fixed if i have them in obelic and not in the map? or both?

like OI the map spawn mobs when you enter and they don't respawn. is that in obelix or some other place?

i'm having the 71+ maps hard. like i think they should. but if the mobs spawn all the time it's about imposible to kill them as they spawn again and again before you can kill your group of mobs..

yes i could ask how do i set the spawn on them. but i like to know why and so on too. that's why i want to know the obelix's function + the mobs you have directly in the map.

+ sorry a litle off topic. but i have seen that some servers you can do somthing so darkies can get in to lighties regnum and the other way around. what is this done with? portal opening when they kill something or?

Well that'd be a lot of writing, and I don't know if it'd slow down/affect anything, but I suppose you could.

Those don't respawn, because they don't have a respawn timer. No respawn timer, no respawning mobs. That'd be something to do with the data in the database I suppose.

Then think about Shaiya... think about mobs that take a bit to spawn, BUT not forever to spawn. Then apply their respawn information (AttackTime3?) to the 71+ maps.

AFAIK Obelisk.ini is mainly used for spawns greater than the database can handle, OR used for double/grouped spawns (Fanta and the mobs surrounding him for example), OR spawns linked to maps/portals (Haru unlocking CT for example), OR Random Spawns (Midget Clavi for example), OR Obelisks (Ya know, altars and such)

Well, I THINK they based it off the altars in Kanos, like OS does. There's a portal in the back of the towns in Kanos that takes you to the opposite faction's Regnum map (or is supposed to. I.E. you have to set it to) and you have the altars control when the portal opens and closes (like EP3 Jungle/Desert) - This is only a theory on how they did it, not on how they actually did it. The only server(s) I know of that have done it, have experienced GMs and could possibly have modified ps_game.exe for something similar.

well attackTime3 where is that? lol sorry been looking at sql under mobs but can't find that one.

Normal it's not that one? Delay normal?

or just attack 3? was sure that last one was the special weapond for the mobs..

attackpluss3 has nothing on my new mobs.. pharam.. under shtool. mabe it's that one? ct 's Parrdalis has 15 there and normal mobs around i have seen 2-3 normaly. could that bee it?

Er Attack3 perhaps, I've actually forgotten.

I checked out my database, and Attacktime3 is there, but on a lot of mobs I KNOW respawn, it's 0, so nevermind on that.

Attackplus3 only has 2 numbers that aren't 0, those are all altars and bomb mobs mainly. All altars/bomb mobs have 1, while the Fury Mine Mouse has a 2. Not sure of what this would be.

ahh found it. but all mine have 0. so try attack3? just change some numbers and try? LOL alot have 8000,7000 but mine in the dungeons have 8000 + already. should this be secounds then?

found out that if i put up 6 under param. in the shtool (attackspecial3) they don't respawn. or it takes a long time. are you sure attackspecial don't have anything to do with spawn? i'm going to test but if this **** up alot i might miss something hahah

If you would have searched the forums, you would have found that Attackspecial3 is for respawn times in the database. No one has posted the lengths of each value of Attackspecial3, so before you ask me, I do not know, that is for you to test. Attack3 has nothing to do with spawn times. I do know that Attackspecial3 set to 6 is a 15 minute respawn.

If I had cared to search* I knew it was on the forums somewhere, but why would I bother searching for it, if I didn't need it? There's hardly any data over what everything controls in the database tables, so I think it'd be better if things were tested and found out, rather than reading old data and having more questions.

ty for this. didn't find it in search. becouse i was sure this could have something to do with obelix. that RebeccaBlack explained so good.

then it was better to continue this (testing) then serching.. (the search in here is hard at times. other times it's easy to find. you realy have to know what your serching for or you normaly out of luck..

btw 4 is about 7-8 min i think i found out.. or close to there somwhere..

attack 3 tells the DB that the creature or mob has a value set for the 3rd attack column and if set to 1 will activate that attack based on the parameters set forth
