Thumbs down Weird.... Just weird ( inside )

Windows 2008 webserver S2 , service pack 4 , 64 bit Os. when i go to install Sql 2005 it does its little pre install check list, well i get a warning on asp.net , it tells me that 64 bit is installed and mysql report services require 32 bit.. So i sorta stumble around a bit, well i ran across Banes tut on sql 2008 , so i thought allright lets try it. as i click on the installserver.bat for the client,, the cmd prompt comes up, goes thew it steps, then tells me that Shaiya is not a recognized Name, and also it says my PW is not allowed because it is not complexed enough.... Ive been going around in circles here, ive changed Ini files to match sql * so i think * i get to the end and the psm svr mnger wont stay green, it reverts back to pause quickly. Any help would be Greatly apreciated on where im going wrong,, and once again i followed the tutorial as far as tcp,, ip,, protocals, all that is concerned,, Thanks in Advance.

Ok, so basically.....i don't think someone will actually read this.

Make it clean, and make it so its not just a text wall, you need to learn how to use the dots (.) to make different sentences/paragraphs.

When you get this post sorted out, maybe some people will help you (if you are actually looking for help) or at least read the whole post, because seriously, these kind of texts hurts people's eyes

***Edit***
Post some screen shots of your errors and i'll take a look , also are you trying to run a public server or just a test server to play around with?

Nah, its not that, im not trying to be mean at all, it is just that its hard to read a text wall like that (and yes i read it just after i made my post) but it is better to make a text readable, more than something bad im just giving a suggestion.

As for your issue, well, i have never used a 64bit windows, so i can't really help you on this, but if im not mistaken there are a couple of threads in which some users asked about some issues they have had while trying to make a server on a 64bit windows, not quite sure, so try searching for those while you wait for someone to help you out.

Again i apologize if i sounded rude

It was not a **** answer at all.
Those posts like that are the ones coming from people that just don't care.
Your first post is very long, unstructured, and overall hard to read.
Anyone trying to read that and help would agree.
john is not trying to insult you or anything.
It's just hard to be helpful on a question when it's a wall of text.
Once you are about half way through you want to stop reading it :/

And sorry,, wasnt trying to make an issue out of my question,,but now we got past that, and i shortened it,,,, hopefully i may get some help .

I have searched for posts about my issues, cant find, ive worked about 24hrs on this, coming here was a Last resort.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand. Id strongly prefer to use sql 2005 as stated in Omegas tutorial, only when i use it i get the asp.net error. I really dont want to fool with 2008. Once again using Windows 2008 webserver S2 service pack 4, 64 bit. Ty !

Ok Fubaar, could you post a Screen Shot of the error you are getting? That would be great for trying to help, any log that you are getting would be cool too

From what I see it seems you didn't apply the password "Shaiya123" correctly into SQL during installation.

No logs since im currently restoring my server for the 5th time. But as far as the Asp.net issue,, when you are installing sql it does a Preinstall Checklist,, it is there where it shows a yellow mark on the asp.net reporting service while the rest are green. It simpally says * 64bit installed, 32bit required for Mysql reporting service.

@ snuggie, when i take the 2008 route, when i get the authinication screen, i switch to Mixed mode, and it has a spot for pw and rename pw,, but how can i edit the Username to make it shaiya , the username always comes up as my actual server name. also having this set at shaiya shaiya123, wont that put my server at risk?

Not unless you left your SQL port open(1433)
Which I highly recommend you keep that port closed.
The only ports you NEED open are these two:
30800 - Login server
30810 - Game server

There is no need to use those batch files, and honestly they caused me problems when I first started setting up a test server. Another option is you could try to set up SQL 2008 like I do here:

Just ignore the virtual machine parts in the tutorial if they don't apply to you, everything else is the same.

I logged on this morning, using the old xigncode and everything, cuz I didn't know that it had been updated. Anyway, I figured it out pretty quick, so I tried to log in and play legit...which didn't work. Ever since then, I cannot even get 2m to load. I tried reinstalling and playing totally legit, without any hacks in the folder at all, as if I was seriously a legit player, and I'm still having the same problem. Any ideas why?
