Everything you could ever want to know(other than advanced stuff like making skills go officially past 3 and things like that) can be found using the search button. The most used tutorials are in the development section and are bumped often. Start there.
I spent 18 hours trying to get my first test server up over a year ago when I first started learning about shaiya pservers and how to run them. There was no server tuts back then lol
Don't say it's too hard. It's really not. Just takes time.
If you don't have time to get a server up you shouldn't even think about making a public one at all. Unless you are working on a server just for yourself. But seriously..it really isn't that hard with all these different tuts out. Just search for them.
