[IDEA] remake of a P-server

Hello you Developers.

There is a very very nice P-server out there, called Shaiya Spirit.
we have tons of Players here, i can compare the 70s PVp with the one of OS, we have it daily and its allways fun.

PROBLEM: The GMs left us a while ago. They did not tell us anything but they didnt show up for months now.
Yes, the Server is absolutely unadministrated atm.


My Idea:
Some of you Developers there, who REALLY have time to start AND care about this, could remake this Server, maybe under a new Name?
But one thing is very important: DO NOT CHANGE THE DROP LIST AND THE RATES !!

Because i will bring as much of the current Players as possible over to YOUR new one, and we rly LOVE our drops and rates here.

Why are you asking others to do work that you could do if you took about a month to fully learn everything? :/
Also you realize that even if this server was recreated the accounts would be gone. All of them. Also the drop rates would not be the same. Unless this person that did this somehow got a hold of their database.

That would not be possible to do unless Shaiya Spirit's owner gives his/her permission to do that, else it would be one person stealing other's work, and that goes against all the manners that every single Shaiya PServer Developer must have, and not just Shaiya Developers, just Developers in general

Cmon its a pserver, everything we gaines here, we can gain again with some Work.


And idk how it can be stealing when the Admins let the server drop down..
we dont need our accounts or anything else, all we want is Shaiya SPirit back to Life

You guys seem to think im looking for a Dev to create a pserver for ME, thats not right.

I just give Devs an Idea to create a new Pserver I and many others, can play on.
Trust me i can't and also i dont WANT to create or administrate a Server... for that, we have you Guys :P

Obviously you have not read anything about running a server.
It's ALL about the database. The drops, drop rates, accounts, item mall, monster attacks, etc.
Everything is stored there. Who knows how many edits were done to that server.
An exact copy will NEVER be made without the database that was used to run that server.
Don't you remember when sooo many people tried to recreate evo? We all know how that went. Lol

Neveka is on my Skype, me and him chat often, ATM he is about to take some really big test, so don't blame him if he is'nt on, another thing, making a server like spirit would take three things; A brain.exe, lots of time, (nev put alot of work into it), and the EP5 skill fixs, only like 6-8 of us devs have it atm...

In all, the server is fine, give neveka time and I am sure there are still admins and GM's around, there just all /charon

But i did NOT ask for an exact Copy!!!! why dont you just READ and then UNDERSTAND before you start to write any Words that come into your Mind ??

All i wanna keep is the DROP LIST; which is listed on the Homepage and the RATES, and idk why you need someones Database to set their Rates.

Yes, some Drops have changed and therefor i wrote CONTACT ME FOR DETAILS, im one of the oldest Players there and know the Servers drops better than anyone else !

Hope we cleared this now and can focus on the IDEA .....


EDIT: Bane, lemme explain you the Situation
2 Months ago they said they had Exams.. Okay, we had no Gms for couple of Weeks but that was fine as we knew what they were up to.
Then they came back and TOLD US that they ARE back, but going on a Week Vacation.. Okay why not.
1 Week later they did come back, gave us some "Hello", made 2 Players GMA (without much Rights), and dissapeared.
That was the last Time we saw them, since that we didn't hear 1 Word from them.

ALOT of ppl here use Hacks, Exploits and whatnot, and we others just don't like playing that Way..

And this Thread is my last Attempt to rescue it..


If you say they will come back, i would ask you to give me some Kind of Proof.. maybe a Chatlog from Skype where Nevak clearly says they will come back?
