Odd Connectivity Issue

Ok, first and foremost, can we keep this thread constructive? I only ask because I know there are some who have issues with me at the present time. Honestly, I dont care, but it doesnt belong here.

Anyway, we have been running for nearly a month now without hassle. However, as of late I have been having some rather odd connectivity issues, or at least I am assuming thats what it is.

All services will start without hassle, as they usually do. However, after about 10minutes to an hour after starting (it varies, it has yet to be a specific interval), all services return to a paused state.

Now, I dont mean they crash, or I get flooded with errors or anything of the sort. They simply shut down. Not one or two specific services, but all of them. All at once. Just as they would if you were to manually tell it to do so yourself via the server UI.

After viewing the logs, there is no sign of any error. Nothing more than the usual statements of the services disconnecting. I may be blind and acting as a nub and simply missing the error, but I have been at this for over 24 hours now, and have still found nothing.

Nothing in the past few days has changed from our usual working setup. Well, until last night, but that is a long story and rather disheartening story.

Anyway, at first I had assumed maybe I was having firewall issues. However, all the needed ports were open. I shut down the firewall anyway, and still got the same results. I even went as far as to uninstall the firewall, but it was to no positive results.

I can provide logs if need be. This has me thoroughly confused. At first we had assumed it was a network issue on the end of our dedicated server host. They however led me to believe that it may be some thing a bit more malicious.

We have run rootkit scans, malware, virus, etc etc. I have completely reinstalled SQL, and the server applications. The problem still exists. As I said, all services start as they should, and will run accordingly for a random amount of time (but never more than an hour), but always end in all servers reverting to a paused state. This usually happens within 10-15 minutes, but not always.

Anyone with any further insight would be greatly appreciated.

vorweg hört sich sehr simpel an ..... ich versuchs mal zu erklären .. man logt sich ein über den clienten... der komuniziert mit deinen server die daten der der server erhält werden alle 10-15 minuten in der datenbank gespeichert (klingelts ?)

also es könnte deine itemmall sein... deine db an sich oder vlt einfach die falsche sprachversion vom sql den es gibt unterschiede beim datum...zb alles nach dem 13. des mon wird als mon = 13 angesehn bei der deutschen sql version und versucht zu speichern da es den 13 mon nicht gibt kommt error 0 weil die db nicht speichern kann...



immer zwei drei schritte vom problem wegtreten es sich ansehen und die logischen schritte verfolgen...

Yea, that was constructive and necessary. Why would you reply to a post by an obvious native to the english language in German, and leave the only english portion of it as an insult?

It is no wonder many have to think twice before posting here for assistance anymore.

And btw, it had nothing to do with a damned thing you stated lol. Nothing to do will the item mall, nothing to do with the SQL version, nothing to do with game content or files at all...not even close. Furthermore, who the hell said anything about 'Error 0'? But hey, you know everything, right?

That aside, I have resolved the issue regardless. Thank you so much for your assistance /insert finger here

For those of you who PM'd me, I do truly thank you for the effort, whether it had already been resolved or not. Nice to see some are still willing. If anyone else is having a similar issue, feel free to PM me, and I will let you know where our problem was stemming from.

I wont post it here, this forum has become a great disappointment as of late, with the exception of few.

I was recently having the same problem up until I asked a friend of mine, and he gave me the tip of making sure all ports are closed, with the expection of the ps_game and ps_login ports.

login server - port 30800 - protocol - TCP
game server - port 30810 - protocol TCP
session - port 30900 - protocol TCP
userlog - port 30901 - protocol TCP
dbagent - port 30911 - protocol TCP
gamelog - port 30912 - protocol TCP
Psmagent - port 40900 - protocol TCP
connectionManager - port 1060 - protocol TCP
dbagent2 - port 1056 - protocol TCP
gamelog - port 1072 - protocol TCP

30800 and 30810 should be open, the rest of these closed
