and also the client shouldnt have anything to do with you dcing like that
the only things that are caused by the client is character load error and map load errors and things like that
so something isnt right in your server files/db
maybe its ep4 server files?

That is wrong.

The assumption of needing other client side files is correct. If you use too old of files, you end up with several different issues. Texture files, skills, etc... However, if you use too new of a client then you will d/c as soon as you target a mob or attempt a few other actions.

Off hand, I truly do not remember the version number of the game.exe you will need, and YES, this is the only file that will need to be changed. If I had to guess, I would say it was around patch 120 or below.

If it is not 120, then it will be an older patch. Honestly, I would just patch the client up to about 115 or so and try the game.exe from each patch following until you get one that doesn't work. Once you find one that doesn't work, use the file before that one.

This will ensure that you have the newest game.exe possible without having the issues.

Think of it as being like when you have a migraine. You want to find out how much medicine will kill you, and then back off just a little bit. Same idea. Update until you hit the d/c issue again, and then back up just a little bit.

Lame analogy, I know, but it works.

And, btw, this is indeed the wrong section. Just for a better experience for all of us, try to keep questions to the 'Private Server' section, and releases and the like to the 'Private Server Development' forum.

And i think the version is from 143+, something like that.
Also, please people, just telling the person its the wrong section is good, but if you report it so it gets moved? Even better. And Yes the Dev section is just for guides and releases. If you have questions, thats the big section called "Shaiya Private Server". As -III- said.
