I'm no expert...by far...but my guess would be a map is drawing outside of its boundaries creating a socket flood which would in turn cause the npcs to activate in-properly.
Just a wild guess..

Otherwise you are stuck using "test" as your default password to the DB, at least for the account server.

you must edit the GameMap.ini on BOTH the Client...

you must edit the GameMap.ini on BOTH the Client and Server sides! otherwise you get this error where your msg server doesn't connect fully to the DB.

obviously don't forget to add those mapfiles...

Well I am running Vista and installing ChinesePRC...

Well I am running Vista and installing ChinesePRC didnt work, instead I took necrons advice in an old thread and downloaded NJ Star Communicator which worked like a charm :D hope this helps others...
