So you are making a game like seafight? I actualy know how to make AI(neved made it for unity) buy know some c++

I started to create a small project similar to yours from Seafight, can you help me or send the code of the movement?

U can use A*Start Pathfinder with Rules on Vertical Movement direction.
The Formular is one step vertical you must go top, bottom, left or right and then switch. I had a c# version but its not final now
