Dont be an addict and play just a few hours per day and youll even get benefit from the +10% rewards for the first hour.
That was a bug that was causing dimishing returns to be stuck at -80%, already fixed.
Elite points, experience points, crowns, pearls. Rift, bonus map and other fixed rewards are not affected by this.
