DAMANGE PROTECTION

So i used to play seafight long time ago but I dont play anymore , I just play beta seafight sometimes when im free , so I need help ..

I shoot with voodo doom 43k-44k on NPC and other "normal ships" 38k-39k, but there are someother ships that i only shoot 17k , What are they using?

I have 15% protection from pet , and also protecion on castle and 14% protection on gems...

IF SOMEONE TELLS ME HOW TO GET MORE PROTECTION AND MORE DAMANGE IT WOULD BE AWESOME , THANKS

Dodge gem, Damage prevention gem. Voodoo shield castle, +5% plate special gem, buffs from event, pet food.
