It would seem that there are now "honey boxes" on the water chart. We as players do not see them but unfortunately custom clients do see and collect them. I have had 6 accounts I have been running thru virtual machines and 5 out of 6 are banned. ......

So where ist the proof of "Evidence" on your proposition?
Currently there is no evidence (in code of main.swf nor in any other file) for such honeyboxes.
And believe me, there must be some sort of code or file.
So at this point your claim is only an assumption.
They had honeyboxes in dark orbit some 3 or 4 years ago. But it was not a long working strategy for a long period. Only a little while later, you had several programs (not to say bots) which decoded this file and put the honey box's positions into bots to not collect those boxes. Some of bots had automatic or semi-automatic updates on honey box file.
Gllitters are unvisible for reasons of colour and appearance.
I can see it, when I use 1 account on my main computer and on my notebook computer another account on same server and same map on my other account. Almost every glitter than has different appearance on each computer and very often on one computer / account a glitter is not seen, while in the same time on the other computer /account the glitter IS clearly visible.
The reasons for bans where explained several times here.
