- La Tale (was in the first closed and open beta set)
- World of Warcraft (no longer have the discs, played on private servers)
- Everquest II (was a paid subscriber in college, but left because the players I was with were abusive in real life)
- MapleStory (Currently have a character on the Bera server, Cerebelle)
- Wonderland Online (left because it was a bit too repetitive)
- Illarion (the only German MMO I can think of, am still a member of their community)
- Stone Age 2 Online (left due to excessive lag)
- RPG World Online (was my second MMO)
- Furcadia (was my very first MMO)
- D&D on IRC (if that counts)
Primarily my goal in MMOs is actually a rather odd one - I roleplay near constantly, and try to get others to do the same. If roleplay is not supported however, I end up just playing for a while and quitting, because the only reason I play MMOs is a means of escapism.
By the way, I enjoy modding my Mabinogi client, and wish to learn more on how to actually make mods and perhaps hacks. I'm a member at Mabinogi Underground as well, so if you want to look me up there, go ahead. The only way I will not mod is if it causes me to lag one bit, since despite my Nagle Algorithm being disabled, I lag in certain places, hence why I prefer dungeons or solo exploration when my friends aren't online to roleplay.
And if you are curious about my Mabinogi characters, my main is Junsuisa, level 74 human, with alts being Raiansui, level 22 elf, and Rhuenai, level 6 giant. I also have my wooden mimic, Monomaneshii, level 7. Please, look me up sometime, as I hope we can get along well.
My interests outside of MMOs and modding include anime, traditional roleplaying games, music, doujinsoft (Japanese fan games), Touhou (a popular series of insanely hard Japanese shoot em ups), visual novels and dating simulations/hentai games, 4chan/Encyclopedia Dramatica, and supernatural/fringe science research.
My goal someday as a career is to be either a computer diagnostics technician, as I love running scripts, using command prompt, and editing the registry. I would like to learn how to program with something outside of Ren'Py (a python-based scripting engine for visual novels), so that I could possibly further enhance these fields and/or maybe hack Mabinogi and other MMOs.
Oh, and a warning - I on many occasions type way too fucking much, and always speak as proper English as my mind can allow. And if you must know, I'm American and can only speak a few words of German (unsure of the spelling, but this sums it up - ich bein ein berliner. ich bein ein dumkompft. ja. nein. - and so forth). But, I'm used to being in multicultural forums, so I don't care.
Final note : my favorite pastry actually is called "berliner".
