Say hi to a new modder

So I play Conquer Online.....nothing else atm because I want to have at least SOME kind of life =p

So yeah I joined this forum mostly so I could learn how to mod. By the time you read this, I have already learned most of everything. Effect edits, texture edits, changing monsters into other monsters, what all of the different .ini and such do, you know, the fun stuff

I guess I picked up on it very quickly because I have always been a hardcore programmmer...studied some VB (2 years) and have pretty much modded every game I have ever played.

As far as what I will submit for this forum...hmm probably not a whole lot of .dds edits, not that I don't want too, I just don't have photoshop and I run Win2000

Mostly .ini and .dat edits most likely. I have already figured out how to change monsters into other monsters and change the appearance and size of the transform skills, I guess other people around here have had problems with that?

So yeah, maybe I'll get some free space at an upload site and start contributing, I guess Zerowaitingtime would be a good choice. Goodbye and always remember that games are meant to be fun!

Great to have you on board.

Show us ure vb skills, make some hacks for CO. Then you will get recognized. Also, file editting (ini editting) isnt that big a deal. Most people can do it if they have some brains.

I've already made a few bots...just some kiddie stuff mostly, if I ever decide to dust off the VB I might finish them off and release them in some kind of "all in one" package.

And as far as the .ini and .dat edits...yeah doesn't take much to figure them out, but you'd be surprised at how many people are stumped by these...

Especially the transform skills

OMG 5-6 files to edit the world is going to end!
