That sounds...easy, compared to continually working AROUND xtrap. It surprises me further that someone hasn't jumped at the chance to release and maintain the only publicly available bypass.

XTrap checks if the inventory is the same as it should be.
For example if you take off all your clothes, xtrap notices that and saves the datas.
Now, if you just write the item IDs into the inventory again, without really using the Equip function of S4, xtrap will notice the difference and disconnect you.
So you have to make sure, that the saved datas of xtrap and the real inventory datas differ for an as short time as possible!
Thats why you have to restore before clicking start actually.

a few months ago exactly this was my problem, but on win7. the win7 firewall is not as fail as the win xp firewall, so i could allow s4's connections completely and it worked again, but on xp it might be different.

Odd. I've never personally had any trouble with Windows Firewall improperly handling connections.
Of course I say that, but checking my exceptions list it seems s4 isn't on it, since Windows hasn't asked me since I reinstalled it a couple of weeks ago to re-add s4. Hurr. Probably why forwarding the ports on that public router I was using didn't do crap for lag...
I'll start disabling it anyway on networks I know I'm safe on, then. I'm usually forced to go through at least one hardware firewall anyway, so...

If you really want to have a software firewall, take a third-party firewall which gives much information about the network traffic and in- and outcomming connections.
The Win XP FW is just crap.
Mostly it is useless to set programs to the white list, their connections could be blocked anyway.
If you add something to the white list for in- and outcomming connections on the win7 FW, you can be sure that the connections won't be blocked

yeah...i like win7 more than xp, but i have to use xp for some reasons, so i have a dual boot of Win XP 32bit and Win7 64bit.

Well, Night people, just informing/reporting whatever :P, it didn't got detected on mine (Current OS: Windows Vista 32 bits - Home Basic), tried to log once > got autentication timeout > tried to log twice > autentication timeout, and finally, tried to log thrice,got banned for 2 ~ 3 days (till 12/1), not even showing only one, HTD message.
Just exposing so no one else gets banned.
PS: i followed the correct ways of using it, so i don't think is the problem nor i saw xTrap get updated.

It's called latency ban lol or wtvr x)
It happens a bit really, check out s4l forums.
You should try to improve your connection to S4L, maybe opening some doors on your AV/FW/Router.

K listen up...IM is not detected,at least not on win7/vista 64x or maybe 86x who has it

I just played and GM said that ingame update booted every player with HTD!
You with these OS'es can keep using IM without detection,but all others sorry,you will just need to wait for an update which will be after 12/1/2011!

If u are using IM and in the server select or loby chanel u get Hacking trial detected just click ESC+left click in the right corner from the message . and u can continue playing with the im.but there is 1 problem...if u logg off and try log in again u are already banned for 2-3 days..
