rust hwid ban

i got banned for cheating, what are the chances im hwid banned? and if i am for how long? does it affect other eac protected games?

If it's your first ban on that computer/hardware, you are likely fine. Rust does not usually issue a HWID ban (from my own experience) on the first account ban. It is still possible (very low chance) that you are HWID banned, but even if you are not, I would be careful about cheating on a new account because you will be much easier to catch from flags/being reported because they are aware that you have cheated before (unless you spoof, etc.). I would also change IP either through a residential VPN or something more reliable like being assigned a new IP through your router which can be done in several ways.

And no, HWID bans do not transfer across games when it comes to EAC.

yeaaa about it being the first time..... but look i got banned in july 2025, the first time and i havent cheated since until now

first ban you are not HWID banned, if you evade and you get manually checked by facepunch you are at risk of being banned again because your only allowed to rebuy and play the game after 8months, to evade certain servers you just need an ip change, certain servers have facepunch employees avoid these ones, for example rusty moose can see alot more than rustoria because of ern. i would just spoof and change ip if i were u saves all the hassle

Probably not even HWID banned, I would reinstall game with revo uninstaller and buy game again on self made steam account. If you dont get banned within 2 hours you should be fine. If more than 24h pass you are for sure good. Worst case you waste few $ on game. If there is no HWID ban you can buy aged account with real hours.

If you get banned on new account then GG, go for spoofer or replace some components on PC and its fine. Your only actual problem would be then IP, all admins can see that on your IP was game banned account.

rust doesnt always HWID ban after the first offense, however it has happened some times so you will need to test on an alt.
and no, it does not affect other EAC protected games so dont worry

And if you bypass the HWID ban and spoof u will need a residential IP if you're flagged on modded servers by server admins
