Normally HWID bans take place within 5 to 120 minutes of gameplay. However in some rare cases it can take as long as 11h which is why I always make 12 hour tests just to make sure.
You will need to be connected to a server which has EAC activated, which means you simply cannot idle in main menu, that just won't work.
