After some time of selling cheats, the most asked question in my community was "How can I downgrade my winver?". It is easier than you think. In this thread, I compiled a quick and simple guide on how to downgrade/upgrade your winver to a specific version. This tutorial is meant for beginners and or new cheaters. It is straight forward and simple. If I miss any information, please feel free to post below, and I will edit it as soon as I am available. If your just happen to read a part of the text and go trash it below without reading the entire thread, please don't expect a response as you are illiterate. General Answers:
- Your winver is simply the version your windows operates on. There are multiple winvers ranging from 1603 to the newly released 21H1
- To find your winver, simple open your windows search and type "winver", an exe should be your first option, click it and it will open a popup windows that displays your windows version, and build.
- There are multiple ways to upgrade your winver. The easiest is to simply check for windows updates. Another way to upgrade your winver is by downloading the ISO file which can take a few minutes to hours depending on your internet speed. Downgrade can be done only by downloading the ISO file which will be explained later below.
- Your winver is essential for specific reasons. Most important being if your winver is compatible for the purchase you are going to make. Always ask what winvers the product you're purchasing supports. Usually sellers don't tell you because they want the sale completed, or they simply don't care. Asking about winver compatibility is important to ensure you get to use your product faster than usual.
- As stated before, when buying a cheat, one of the most important questions to ask is if the cheat works for your current winver. Some cheat developers prefer winvers under the winver 2004 simply because windows stopped or will soon stop supporting updates for these winvers. Other developers like the opposite. I am sure it is more complicated than that, but just to keep it easier for new members, that is a basic way of thinking about it. Bottom line is, make sure the product works for your winver, or be willing to downgrade/upgrade based on the product.
How to Change Your Winver:
Welcome to this part of the thread. Here you will learn how to upgrade/downgrade your winver. There are 2 options that you can do to upgrade your winver. There is 1 option to downgrade your winver. You must be sure to follow whichever option you need.
Option #1: (Upgrading Only)
Simply by searching "windows update settings" in your windows search bar, you will get redirected to your settings page. From there, you can search for windows updates, if any are available that involve updating your windows version, you can easily update from there. It might take minutes to a few hours depending on your Wi-Fi speed. Keep that in mind.
Option #2: (Upgrading/Downgrading)
Option #2 is a bit harder, but has more pros than directly downloading from your windows system. This step requires an external drive, usually a USB stick that is 8 gigabytes minimum. Note that downgrading/upgrade will delete your Hard Drives, that means all your work/downloads will disappear, please back everything important up. Your windows key will also disappear, that being said, windows will ask for activation on the bottom right of your screen. Nothing too big.
- Firstly, head over to this website and download the Windows ISO Tool.
- After downloading the tool, select which winver you want to upgrade to. Once you found your winver of choice, continue by downloading it and giving it time to complete.
- Once the download is complete, download this software known as Rufus. . Rufus is a a program that sets up your USB to become a boot drive.
- When Rufus completes, simply plug in your USB drive and run the program. Select your USB drive and select the ISO file as shown below. Once ready, press the "Start" button to initiate the USB.
- After Rufus completes the boot drive, you must reset your PC in advanced mode. Simply do so by typing "Advanced Startup" in your windows search bar. Once restarted, you will be given this windows. Select "Use a Device", your USB will appear as an option, select it and begin the fresh windows installation.
- During windows installation, select custom install so that you can completely delete all hard drive units to completely erase everything in them
- You will reach a screen that prompts all your hard drives. You must select each one, and click delete. Make sure you know which hard drive is your SSD as you will have to install windows there for better performance.
- Once you have deleted all your data, you must select your SSD and click Next. Windows will begin installing on your SSD and after a few minutes you should be in your desired WINVER
