One major reason that AHK was used is for its robust and accurate timing system, although less adjustable than some other languages, it gives extremely precise values which are perfect for applications such as this. The other major reason that AHK was chosen is for its low-level interaction with Windows, AHK developers have spent thousands of hours optimizing this interaction to increase its efficiency and decrease delays, reducing script complexity and thus file sizes and load times. A common misconception is that AHK scripts are detected. This is partially true as the original ban wave did ban for AHK, however it targeted common scripts that only mitigated vertical recoil.
