I'm with you Oziel. I remember when Xor went down in October of 2014... or 2015? it suuuuucked... but TBH the server had plateaued a bit before that.
99 Classic servers have been done several times and what happened the first few times was that people simply 100%ed everything very quickly. The endgame grind quickly became about +ing Artisan accessories, weapons, and armor as much as possible, and getting max dual-stat weaponry. This isn't a bad thing it just isn't enough. The "grind" should never end in an MMORPG like ROHAN, but it should never be boring. You and others have probably heard these points before but I've suggested some additions that could keep the game fresh and improve flaws.
1. Remove + Attack Force as a stat, and Melee/Magic/Ranged Attack % from weapons. it imbalances the game. It makes classes like Agi Dhans, Dex Guards, and Psy Wizards less viable as Defense matters less and less. Hit and run classes like Str Dhans, Rangers, and Int Dekans dominate as being slow and tanky means nothing... because being tanky is not possible. If you've looked at Early Jin PvP before it had epics, and everybody was flooded with +Attack, along with Heroic Power... Rangers were asswiping Vit Defenders and Dekans with ease, Str Avengers could pop two scrolls and 1-DPP almost anything that wasn't full Vit. [(
2. Variable Boss Drop Accessories. It's simple, Each Boss drop has 4 variants in stat distribution. Ex: Wings of Solemn Death would have:
WoSD-15 Str, 15 Dex, 15 Vit
WoSD [White]- 33 Vit, 6 Str, 6 Dex
WoSD [Red]- 33 Str, 6 Dex, 6 Vit
WoSD [Orange]- 33 Dex, 6 Str, 6 Vit
This would keep boss hunting fresh. If you get a low key-stat for your build from a boss that is your level, you could get a high key-stat from a lower level boss. This makes players have to kill bosses more often at the endgame to get exactly what they want... this is the point- to have something worth fighting over repeatedly! If we allow these boss drops to be reinforced it adds even more depth. You will have players used to 1-shotting everybody like in other servers- these boss drops give them that option. You can be a Str Dhan with 4 RED Wings of Solemn Death and be a 1-shotta at the expense of your defense. Trading would be encouraged.
3: Armor Option Stone variants. This would be similar to boss drop accesories. Each armor option stone would have a color. Protection of Marea could have White for Vit, Red for Str, Orange for Dex, Green for Agi, Blue for Int. Your armor would have a roll for the option stone effect, but the stats for Vit, Str, etc. would be guaranteed by tier. Ex.
Protection of Marea [White] would give +8 Vit to Froianne, 12 to Pluion, 20 to Edwin, etc... and each Ancient Armor part would be like a reinforceable armor piece where the stat could increase for each +.
Those are just a few ideas I have.
