This is not a link for the bot, this is information released by thorami. May be useful for some devs.
This information would save anyone with the right knowledge a few hours.
The information Nexto needs to function is quite limited and can be found in the source code of Nexto/RLGYM.
Just get PyCharm. You can even debug the bot while its running from within RLBOT to go through the code step by step.
- With the SDK hook "Function TAGame.Car_TA.SetVehicleInput" via ProcessEvent and get all the needed.
- You can also hook other functions to add functionality, like a decent kickoff.
- You can send the info back to your own python script via sockets or another method of your choosing.
- Your python script should format the info in the way Nexto expects it and calls the correct function in nexto. Basically just initialize the bot and call get_output() in your loop.
- Nexto itself will generate output which matches the games expected input.
Some issues that needed solving on this journey.
- Finding the array the holds boostpads info. There is a relatively small array somewhere in the game that holds this info together with some other useful classes
- Getting Nexto output and use it as controller input. I got 2 solutions for this, where the first one will probably be the first thing Psyonix tries to mess with.
1) You can modify the caller of SetVehicleInput for; PlayerInput (direction controls), VehicleInput(brake/jump/boost)
2) You can use ViGEmBus to emulate a controller (opensource / signed drivers available). Modifying the output of Nexto to match ViGEmBus is a simple task.
- Nexto is quite picky with the FPS it expects. Make sure you run the game @ 120FPS if you are running into weird issues.
- Some maps are also slightly different (like having hidden boostspads that could mess up your game data that you send to Nexto). Just use DFH Stadium for your testing.

Pro TIP;
You can even make this work fully external by using ViGEmBus and waiting for the ingame timer to have updated before you read all structures again.
My computer takes about 3ms to get all the data needed with read process memory in C#. This can then be easily updated to use a driver once Psyonix implements some anticheat.
You could probably also skip python and use the c++ implementation of pytorch. Havnt tried though.
