I do not mind typing a 1/2 page explanation to answer any questions that have not been asked 10+ times, but anytime I have seen m00000 or Landa or anyone else in this community say use the search function...
it is because that particular topic has been answered by myself about 10+ times in detail...
or
it is on the first post of the thread that many are too lazy to use...
or
it is actually listed on the bot itself like many of them...
or
m00000 or Landa or someone else in the community has answered the same about 10+ times because I would not answer it an 11th time.
or
there are 50+ pages of posts because there are 49+ pages of teh same 5 questions...
or
maybe all of the above...

In all reality, please make our jobs easier and try to search for your answer first to make sure it is a unique question, then post it if you did not find an answer to your problem. It takes time from bugfixing when I have to answer something 10+ times in the forums, as when I am typing in the forums I am usually writing parts of this script at the same time.

JT, could not have said that better myself! You beat me to the punch in replying to him, but I'm happy that you did.

The only thing that I would add to what JT has already said is that, putting the effort into trying to answer the same 5 questions repeatedly stifles JT's ability to make the bot better... and think of it this way, it's either reading through some of 50 pages or actually playing the game manually... the choice is yours, and no one is forcing you to use the bot...

No, I do not believe the desktop resolution affects the bot. I have noticed that on Vista if Rappelz is running at the desktop resolution, it will cause problems with changing focus to the bot window, causing problems with the camera turning. I run 1440x900 on my two laptops and 1920x1200 on my Vista x64 system. I honestly believe that the windows XP systems that are having problems are the higher end systems that blast through the script too fast. That is the main reason I wanted system information.

does your bot accept the french client?

I have the french version of Rappelz.

I think that your bot is not compatible. Am I rightt ?

It reads pixels off the screen that are not language specific, I believe it will work. I think we already have a member here that is on the french client that is using it. I believe Lapin Lumaire is a french bot-trap that is still buggy in my script, but I will have fixed soon.

this is what i have when i run the bot.

Search for window
then search for mob but it finds nothing.
if i select a mob, then it says possible bot trape. the bot dont attack and says waits for mob to dies and then try to loot but loots nothing eiter...

of course i placed the F kays as you mentioned.

excellent work btw...got a small question..this might be a noob one tho...

the rotate works but...if there are 10 mobs and one of them is an autotrap..it just turns around...totally ignoring the rest of the mobs...and sometimes at the back there are no mobs...so it turns again...and tabs the autotrap again...and so on and so forth.... is there something that can be fixed ? also...this is probably a setting but here goes...its really slow between mobs.. i mean..it really takes it time to tab, attack,loots, goes to the other mob etc etc...i got killed after 20 minutes coz it took its time and i got mobbed by 2 mobs XD :P

MattMT, not noob questions, but have already been addressed:

1) The autotrap is being worked on to improve the number of known bot-traps that the bot will detect and tab to the next available "real" mob. Right now, I've had it successfully tab with several bot-traps, but it does still get stuck on some - which is something that JT is working on improving by adding more bots to the list of ones where the tabbing works.

2) The time between attacks... this is one of the reasons why JT created the option to turn off looting. With looting off, there's on less step involved. If you see that the specific mobs that you're battling are killed quickly, with more than enough time between them, you can play around with the delays tab and see what delay intervals work best fot your character/mobs your fighting. You have to be careful not to set it too low, as then, this will leave a monster mid-battle and move on to another (even though it sometimes says that it's waiting for that monster to die). It takes some work when you have a higher lvl character to perfect, but again, it's a choice we make over doing things manually... :P

the autotrap works just fine...what im asking is ...if there are 10 mobs and 1 of them is an autotrap..instead of NOT turning and continue on the rest of the mobs..it just turns ignoring the rest. maybe just a simple option to turn off the turn if an autotrap is found...dunno..just a suggestion but awesome work !

And MattMT, I'm trying to tell you, this already exists, but only works with specific bottraps thusfar... when it sees those bottraps, what it does is tabs (i.e. selects the next "real" monster) INSTEAD of turning... does that answer your question? :P

the new version doesn't work properly for me, it does not save the changes ( i tried all i can do) and it does not loot, anyone else has this problem ?

Have not noticed that at all... some people noticed issues with looting, but nobody's posted probs regarding saving changes...

JT, do you think it would be possible to implement a similar feature to the one that's used when a known bot-trap is detected and the bot tabs before turning, for when the bot encounters a "damaged" monster (i.e. one with less than full HP)?

K, my comp's pretty typical, I'm running a Vista x32 system, with 2 GB RAM, NVidia GForce 4400 GT, and I think that's all that counts =/

NVM, fixed a few security errors, and now everything runs smoothly
