hi all lol havnt been on to test the bot for a while now.
schools started back up
although when i get the time i hope i can test it out some more with visually seeing the errors
although last week or so when i used the bot i realised that the self heal on the alt key i think it was. it used it in the middle of combat and doing that needed to select the character
hence reselecting the monster closest to me
i had 2 monsters on me - this was a good thing about the bot it attacked even without monster having full hp
although now might be an issue being attacked by 2 mobs and 1s half hp and the others full cuz wen it reselects its guna select the 1 with full hp and let the 1 with half hp kill me....

or is that situation all fixed and im just bonkers?

anyway good to be back hope my contributions are still welcome

Alenos, that's a great observation, and come to think of it, you're right, especially when you're in an area with several monsters attacking at the same time... the only thing I guess that could help at that point would be that your pet would finish off the monster that you started to attack before the bot issues the next attack command, which is a hit or miss type of situation (that, and the monster in most cases at that point will start attacking your pet, etc.). JT, what do you think about this bro, from your experience? Is it more viable to have the bot attack all monsters, regardless of HP, since there's no way to attack a monster again if it doesn't have full HP, and risk being PK'd by some guy who thinks you're stealing his/her kill?

I was stupid about the pet self-healing - I read something wrong and thought a breeder could cast a spell that self-healed the pet. just remember to self-heal the player only in the bot settings to avoid this. And you are correct - with the new updates to the battle system... it would be a really daunting task to re-select the mob you were fighting since it is low on HP, but I think i can pull it off... I will just have to write some exceptions in there.


I am really thinking hard about the wandering bots.... I have not written it yet, but... I will be soon. I wonder how far they will go...

I guess i could commit to writing something in the near future to fix that, but it is only pet healing during battle... not really needed unless you are letting the pet tank... well... there is one reason right there...

Wouldn't the mid-battle self heal be a break in the battle loop? If that is the case it shouldn't disregard the target as not having full health. If it does, would ti be possible to only put the full HP check into Target Acquisition loop and then send to a seperate function that says:

Attack Function() > while HP > slider Value > then run attack sequence > else > run healing function > send tab to reselect monster > then cycle back to the attack function.

I know that is an infintite loop b/c you would have to add stuff in there for monsters HP being > 0 to leave it and start Looting, but am I making myself clear? Basically I am just saying that you wouldn't have to go back to Target Acquisition Function to reselect the mob, just add a seperate function or add a Tab key press at the end of the Self Heal Process and just pray it targets your previous target.

I have confirmed a few things buggy that I am working on... and I have news...

*I have FINALLY fixed the re-targeting feature of the new bot-trap detection. The current beta I am working on will make one attempt to find a new target before it tries to turn the camera. This completes the new bot trap detection system other than inputing all of the known bot-traps.

*Bot-trap detection is different on XP vs Vista... so I will have to add all of the bots for XP as well. All of the bots i have currently added were on Vista.
*I have repaired the Lapin Lunaire code - it was buggy
*with the buggy code listed above I repaired wordmaker to reflect that bugfix.
*I have repaired the script for pet healing during battle, but I am not completely done with it.


I will post the update soon... when I completely finish it.
