need minor help in my test server

in regards to the first part, i get to server select screen and it freezes up with a message window hidden behind the banner after i click confirm to enter my test server. i tried using search to find the answer but only ran into millions of ppl asking about it and never found the fix. ive used harmbasi's video and jw988's guide and get only to server select. took me a couple days to get that far after going back and quadruple checking the steps in the guide and seeing a mistake i had made near the beginning. currently im trying a full reinstall of MsSQL and gunna start over on the guide to see if thats where my problem occured, if not i'll be back on the hunt for an answer lol.

Theres alot of things I can think of, that could cause that.

Check your IP address in your config files for Herlock and Aurora,
make sure you do:

start_service
set game.open_external 1

in Aurora, then in Herlock:

Code:

connect auth

THEN try to login.

Failing that, yeah, start a fresh, and take your time. JW's guide works perfectly, if followed carefully.

never saw the connect auth for herlock @_@ *facepalms* will try it after reinstall x.x

did full reinstall, still no luck, game001 wont connect to auth

welcome to the club we all have questions and alot of times hate asking but we try to contribute where we can thats what draws the thin line between the 2 groups
if auth wont connect that means 2 things.
ether u didnt set sa as owner on sql or you didnt delete password then log out then back in for it all to take full effect 100% meaning ports? u need to restart pc

thats the old load screen for rappelz thats normal the issue i see is it looks like gameserver is still loading failed spawns wait till its 100% done then try.
does it close its self out?
did u add sa as the directory owner?
your using the jw88 pack correct?
just default login and password or did u make your own? at any point have u recived a message about compromised accounts?
im asking the basic's i cant really give u an honest answer with out asking the basics ^^

i got a problem lol - my game server doesnt fully load, it gets stucked and closes itself after 1 min... anyone knows why?

nvm fixed.. thx (had to restore those files on sql server, since i had messed up something)

@cranK337, were you able to log in before? If so did you pick up items? If you did then do a restore to your Telecaster DB. I had an issue with items, forced my gameserver to keep closing.

when it finishes loading the failed respawns it freezes and wont accept any commands, it doesnt close itself only freezes, im using the jw88 pack with the basic admin:admin as login-password, dont get an account compromised message only 1 hidden behind the banner. the client im using to access is from AOR

could it be a messed up version of herlock? or is it just user error even after following the guide and video? im still new but ive made it that far so that should mean something lol

thats an old code its implimented in to the system now u dont actly need to type connect auth now

turns out my entire problem is i had the bat running it in the wrong port, with alot of help i got it working and now im experimenting with it while mapping out mob locations, so far in cv the only working mobs are the patrols, also still trying to figure out how to increase the tame rates on all pet cards.
