If you look ingame the cashshop work but without gp.

There's a CS in game showing (old) stuff in it.
But you still need have correct amount of gp to buy in there.
And there's just absolutely no way to have any gp for this server.
So yes, CS "work" but it deserve nothing.

I'm guessing the only way to get gpots is if this Lei person decides that you are worthy of his divine favors and give them to you. Who knows? He might do it... Not likely though.

The more realistic approach: he will, when the server supposedly go live tomorrow, make some sort of premium membership or some other way to make money from this. The world is run by greed, online games too. Most WoW private servers have some sort of cash shop. This will happen to rappelz also. Sad but true. Running a proper server like this isn't cheap (if he rents a proper lag free server that is) and I seriously doubt that he will continue doing it for free.

I really hope I'm wrong about this...

That picture has been on the website for some time. I haven't been on today, but it was still not translated yesterday. And why would a guy from Singapore translate to french?
