because older epics are more fun and not available on official servers so private servers open them up

And actually one of reasons is because latest official binary emulator released is 9.5.2, but to open 9.5.3 and later epics you need to upgrade it thtough source code modificaion which requires C++ knowledge (at least basics of it) including SQL. And you will need to upgrade it all the way from 9.1 version. So this is why here is not much 9.10 servers still
