What are your thoughts about those features ?

Hello,

I want to hear: What do you think about a Rappelz private server with those specific features ?

Note: Assuming that exp and drop rates are low. x3 at most.

1/ A level cap.

For exemple, an epic 7 server with a max level 155.
Once you hit 155, you can finally stop the endless grind and focus on other things like:

- PVP: You can finally play that meme class for some pvp, even those that class sucks at farming pve.

- Pets: You won't feel bad for "wasting" time taming and gearing pets for hours, while you could've level from 172 to 173 in that time. (and what's the difference between 172 and 173 ? nothing.)

- Gear: Farming some specific mobs and bosses for the gear they drop, not for how much exp. (Will dive more into this later)

- Helping other players level up: Now that you're 155 and not receiving any exp either way, you will have no problem parting with lvl 150 noobs with bad gear and carry them and socialize while you're leveling you pet for exemple.

- Leveling alternative characters: You need a pet class to levelup pets ? Your guild needs a healer to farm gear (Will dive more into this later)
? You can safely leave you main toon for a while without "losing" any potential endless levels, level up a new toon with other players, have fun, and have more things to do overall.

- Future players: They will be much more motivated to join the server. Unlike the normal rappelz with the endless level, players will know that if they play X amout of days, they will catch-up with the server and be able to play and compete with veteran players.

- Returning players: You stopped playing retail for a while when you were level 152... then you wanted to get back into retail... but you find yourself 25 levels behind everyone. So you just decide to not bother and leave again.
Sounds familiar ? With a level cap, players are much more likely to return even after leaving for months.

2/ Getting gear requires a party effort.

(Remember, this is epic 7, and you're capped at level 155. You can't just run into dungeons, go straight up to the boss and one shot him)

Getting gear in this server is mainly about farming the Betrayal, Ashmaw the Devourer and Sand Lord Kynish.

- Betrayal being the easiest one but still requires a good 8/8 party with different roles to kill(Tank, dps, heal ...)
Betrayal drops a random lvl150+15 Tier 3 peice of gear.
People will have to work together and form guilds, and work on gearing up thier members to become strong enough and move on to the next dungeon.

- Ashmaw the Devourer is much stronger and requires well geared 8/8 party.
Ashmaw the Devourer drops a random lvl155+15 Tier 3 peice of gear.
Again, people will have to work together to get those gears, and will still have to help other people getting the Betrayal etc...

- Sand Lord Kynish being the very end game. Drops a new op set or something.

This is pretty much how World of Warcraft works. I would love to see that being implemented in this lazy game called rappelz.

Hacks in 2moons have worked for a very long time and in between have been patched alot. We all remember when sparky hacked 2moons and ownt it. Right away, a patch came following it and all the hacks were patched and have been for a while. *Patched to the public atleast* I personally think that 2moons NEEDS hackers and Acclaim knew that and was taking advantage of the hackers. They had a back-up patch all along, in cases where it goes too far. Sometimes, hackers improve the game and acclaim left...

Hi people, I'm fairly new to l2 (retail) but I have managed to get myself a Necromancer upto lvl 61, I've included a screenie. As you can see he has full DC robe Set, all unsealed and a DC Shield also unsealed, main wep is a Homu +7. He also has greater dyes of: int+5, wit+4, men-10 thats the total. My question is could he be setup better for more damage, casting speed etc, what could I do to improve his abilities? When the SS was taken I was using my own crappy buffs and a Greater...
