Why would he need to hex the gameserver to get it working?

uploadserver.opt:

S working_dir:c:\physical path to folder to store icons
S io.port:4615
S io.addr:0.0.0.0
S io.game_server.port:4617
S io.game_server.addr:0.0.0.0

gameserver.opt:

S io.upload.port:4617
S io.upload.ip:ip of uploadserver
S game.guild_icon_base_url:http://url of webserver/gicons/
S game.url_list:guild_icon_upload.ip|ip of uploadserver|guild_icon_upload.port|4615

The working_dir and guild_icon_base_url must point to the same folder.

But when i change my uploadserver.opt and gameserver.opt

He say error too , can you show your upload and gameserver config please ?
