updated.. added mob skill editor, not sure if all skills will work or whatever only tested by getting lv1 luminous ping to cast dark spiral

Well, file seems to be clear, just woundered why the rar-file got a Trojan.Downloader.
But I started it in Sandboxie. ^_^

If I'm able to find the problem why I cant connect to DB, then I'll let you hear. :P

hmm.. are your sure the DBSettings.xml i stole from Silent Bill correct?

havent tested it on any other computers, only my own that has all the qt bins and microsoft bins installed

maybe port in dbsettings? u can delete that setting, it will use 1433 by default
and unless my password still in release too... not sure if i changed before i packed..

"failed to connect" tooltip has the real sql error

not skill CARDS.. going to be used to edit the skills mobs used! such as giving cold blt to 17x dt mobs again or any other skill im hoping.. nothing is tested cept for gold/exp thats why i disiabled everything until i hear feedback.
not goin get no feedback if no one can connect tho . u try filling custom_dns cuz i know u know yours

i think its cuz i packed dlls with upx.. ignorant av sometimes detects any upx as trojan.. last time i encountered that was like 2004 so i thought all av got over upx hatred
cuz the one that finds it dumb im guessing.. never even heard of that software

im positive it has no trojan.. look thru the source, its very noobish.. only writing i do is to changes.sql

a DbSettings.xml file from silent bill releases should work.. only includes custom_dns & port for remote connections but prolly wont work if u dont have ms sql installed

if your main resource database not named "Arcadia" then rename it in setting xml

make sure the ms sql server is started when u try to connect

aaah maybe sandboxie cant connect? i just tried in sandboxie too and gave me the exact same as u..
usually if sql service if off then it takes awhile for that error to pop up after timeout, but in sandboxie its immediate

There are a couple of people that can't connect to their database using localhost, which is the default values in my XML, for those people, try using your computer name instead of localhost.

eww wtf is c#? haha no.. c++ only.. localhost (127.0.0.1) should work tho, mine connects with localhost, but again i have not tested on another computer

In my opinion Sharp is better than ++.
Why?
++ got more functions, sure.
But when u will use them?
Either u write a game, or u wanna create a huge program like Windows.

i just never wanted to get into anything purely windows related.. windows.h such a mess that i wish could turn my back on windows completely

qt nice for gui programs, not so much games though even with opengl, and more like the standard than microsoft's mess of code

not even sure if all that old ms code applys to c#, just never had motive to care about it

It doesn't.
C++ is the better overall language, but it really depends what you want to do. If it's just an app to mess around with a database (read: everything I've released here) then C# gets the job done pretty **** well.
If it's doing a game/realtime simulation or something that requires speed, more accurate or more efficient memory manipulation, then C++ is better, hands down.
