This is a BASIC guide of Making a MuPrivateServer i will post all necessary things that are needed to do so.
1. Step: Downloading Microsoft SQL Server 2000

Installing SQL Server 2000: Extract SQLEVAL.exe, Run Setup.exe and click Next 8 times, it will show you this window named Services Accounts, in Service Settings set it to Use the Local System Account, then click Next and it will show the Authentication Mode window, set it to Mixed Mode(Windows Authentication and SQL server Authentication) after that make sure to set a password below, that password will be the sa account password, you will need it after on if you want to set an online registration. Then click next to continue the Installation

2. Step: Downloading 97d+99 MuServer Files, this are my own files that i edited them and fixed some bugs link is

After Downloading server files you will need to have a drive with letter D: . if you dont look at the guide thankz to the gatekeeper

Setting Server IPs: Go
Here

to get your GLOBAL Ip that is the one that goes in this Files. You must right click, open with, select program from list, use NotePad.

D:\MuServer\CS\data\Connectser verlist.dat = change 127.0.0.1 to ur IP
D:\MuServer\CS\data\ServerInfo .dat = change 127.0.0.1 to ur IP

Getting you LOCAL Ip you will need to go to Start, run, type cmd, and in cmd type ipconfig that will be you local ip that is needed in this files.

D:\MuServer\Links\4.ink = Right CLick, Properties, change 127.0.0.1 to ur IP
D:\MuServer\Links\8.ink = Right CLick, Properties, change 2 , 127.0.0.1 to ur IP
D:\MuServer\data\commonserver.cfg = = change 3 , 127.0.0.1 to ur IP
D:\MuServer\data\IpList.dat = change 127.0.0.1 to ur IP
D:\MuServer\data\lang\chs\ ;commonloc.dat = change 127.0.0.1 to ur IP

3. Step: Restoring DataBases: Open Enterprise Manager, select Databases right click and Create new Database, name it MuOnline, create another named Ranking.

Restoring: Right click in MuOnline-All Tasks-Restore Database. Restore as Select From Device, select Devices, Add, ... , then select MuOnline db backs in D:\MuServer\db baks\ and click OK 4 times.

Restoring: Right click in Ranking-All Tasks-Restore Database. Restore as Select From Device, select Devices, Add, ... , then select Ranking db backs in D:\MuServer\db baks\ and click OK 4 times.

4. Step: Creating ODBC Links download .reg file

run it and all should be ok.

5. Step: Running Server: After you finish editing all those files go to folder D:\MuServer\Links\ and open 1 by one, let them load first and then continue to the next one.

6. Step: Connecting to your server: Download any launcher here around in the forums and write you LOCAL ip in there with the default port 44405.

7. Step: This is the Client needed to connect to server

For Users using C: Drive
Remember your MuServer in C should look like this C:\MuServer\MuServer\ so when u use the SUBST command it will show it in D: like this D:\MuServer\ , when you do that edit all your files using your D Drive so there wont be any errors int the files, specially the links.

Restoring Databases: Right click in MuOnline-All Tasks-Restore Database. Restore as Select From Device, select Devices, Add, ... , then select MuOnline db backs in C:\muserver\muserver\db baks\and click OK 3 times, Select Options at the Top, a little bit down it says Restore As, rename both files locations it should look like this: C:\muserver\muserver\db\MuOnli ne_data.mdf and C:\muserver\muserver\db\MuOnli ne_log.ldf.

Restore as Select From Device, select Devices, Add, ... , then select MuOnline db backs in C:\muserver\muserver\db baks\ and click OK 3 times, Select Options at the Top, a little bit down it says Restore As, rename both files locations it should look like this: C:\muserver\muserver\db\Rankin g_Data.MDF and C:\muserver\muserver\db\Rankin g_Log.LDF.
