lol yea I hate it as well when the zoom is just tooo close, I miss the unlimited zoom, it's annoying not to be able to see what's around the char, especially if want to know where are the other party members in an area when fighting boss like belial or when a super-huge-xxxl-sized boss is nearby.
with the previous method, it zoomed out but immediately reverted back to previous zoom
