another option you should consider for long-term pot saving if playing a class that uses a lot of mp is by leaving some of your skills at level lv 1 if possible, or you can stop level it up at whatever lv they are now, maybe one or two skills which're not so useful and have fast cooldown.
as you level up, your mana pool will get higher and regen faster, using equips with regens can greatly reduce the cost for pots.
if you play a cleric [that's elf priest, right ?], best way is accompany it with a werefox and leave attack skills at lv 1, let fox do the killing in doing quests, but you will be playing 2 chars if using this method.
i played an ep class alone once and i think it's not very efficient to bot for farming and exp, later i added a werefox and i'm happy now lol.
