I dunno if this is the right forum to ask, but since we have sub forum specific for app releases, I guess a question should be placed here as long as it's pw related, cmiiw.

I wonder how people managed to reach lv 99 or maybe even 100 so quick. How long will that take starting from level 1 ?

as for how long I level up my chars (four), this is the story :
- pw indo started open beta on August 10th, 2008, I created 4 chars straight after the server started that day.
- it took me 2.5 month to reach lv 60 for 4 of them (all quest cleared except some bosses)
- from 60 to 67 I'm not sure but should be only 2 weeks but I kinda stalled because I had an issue with the publisher
- I estimate it took me 10 days to level from 67 to 71 (this was when I started using bot to leveling)
- it took me another 3 weeks to go from lv71 to lv81 (skip some quests, full time botting whenever I can, mostly nonstop)
- from 81 to now 82 took me about 4 days, I'll be reaching 83 tomorrow, took me about 5 days.

total timeframe from the data above, from lv 1 to 83 is around 18 weeks= 4.5 months, while the server since started until now is only six months old minus 10 days.

- from 83 until 90, I guess per level will take around one week average using bot. It's fair with bot since there is a legal 'botting' called 'zhen', I assume bot=zhen so botting doesn't cheat time ^^. From 90 and above, the time needed to level up per level should be longer than 83-90. I don't have estimation since I'm not there yet but should be around 10 days ? so maybe it'll take around 7 weeks or make it 2 months to go from 83-90, and the timeframe now from lv 1 to 90 would be 6.5 months. Not to mention there are 9 more levels and should be much longer to go up per level.

the question is how could people reach lv 99 in only six months ?? and most of them have reached lv5 military rank. We don't have exp scroll here in our server, it's not available in Item mall until now btw. And from the data above, it takes 6.5 months to go from lv 1 to 90, while there are some people already at lv 99 in only 6 months, how is that possible ? I know the timeframe I described above is used to level up 4 chars and might not be accurate, but leveling 4 chars will take only a bit more time because the quests were taken and done together.

can anyone share any way to speed up leveling ? all I know is using bot, or zhen but I guess no one do zhen at 90. I've even tried botting at lv 101-108 mobs at my level 82 now, but exp gain is faster at mobs with level that's slightly above/below the char's level, also there is a risk of death when being left unattended.

thanks in advance for only reading this, more appreciated for any tips and hints regarding how to level up faster than ever in pw.

You do know that exp per mob is divided by the level and the number of person in a group, right? Since you're leveling off 4 chars, I'd assume that you need longer time to reach higher level. While those some who has reached 99 were rumored to have paid several people to do their leveling. I've also heard that one character is used by 5 people in turns gaining exp including completing quests (a lot of quests offer better exp than grinding mobs. And reps too.). How can you beat 5 people?

hmm i started nov. 16, 2008 and thanks to all the leveling programs and guides i got from this site, I' am now lvl 86 with 83% in my exp bar. so thats almost 3 months i guess. TIPS? just find a good leveling spot where the range of mobs would be 3 levels higher or lower than you are. AMULET if they are too aggressive and accessories with +% on EXP. BTW i bot 8 hours a day 3 hours more for quest. More power to us all!

exp per mob is divided by level and number of person in a group, yes, but my chars all are at the same exact level, only differ in 6% tops at that same level.

Even though it's divided equally but the cumulative exps per kill are bigger than if the exp per kill is for one char alone, also the kill is faster only about five seconds per kill. For exampe one char alone at lv 86 killing a lv84 mob will get 422 exp, but in a group of four each char got 172 exp which in total equals to 688, and for a total of 2.4 mobs killed in group equal to one mob killed alone, only took about 15 seconds, i think one char alone killing one mob will need much or less around the same time as 15 secs, so there is not much of a difference for needed time in botting one only or four chars.

maybe it's really possible though to reach lv99 in only six months, i just can't imagine the efforts and the time spent in the game for that, and i think it's only possible by hiring people to play or with bot involved, the latter is highly preferred for ppl currently at lv95+ imo. (sorry for ppl playing clean, i'm out of possibilities to think lol)

@diegolatigo : do you think you can make your char to reach 99 playing regularly like you already did in 6 months from your starting date ? just curious.

I think it also depends on if you have played the game before or not. My first char took a while to lvl, but now i can do it much faster... experience is a key factor as well as where you go and if you spend money in item mall (that helps a lot)

yea thats another factor but not much, i've played for the first time in pw my en before, until lv 80, and I just checked by digging my old fraps screenshots and paypal transactions, I reached lv80 in only 2 months and five days without botting, spent a total of around $500+ for zhen and equips, but in Indonesian server it'll cost more than that because hieros are more expensive and no exp scrolls.

guess it really is possible to reach lv 90+ or even 99 in 6 months, but still I think bot is involved or maybe ppl are just crazy and really big spenders for just gaming.

Hmm, lvling...
lvl30 is 2 days, from then its getting slower.
Grinding to lvl60 can take about 1 week, maybe 2. (Party is always faster than solo)
From lvl60+ you can Zhen, which make at lvl60 50% per hour, at lvl70 still 10%, until lvl80 5%, lvl90 get 2.5% per hour at max. Fastest lvling possible i know is my friend, actively grinding 20 hrs a day it took her 1 week from 84 to 89.
About 90-100 i cant tell much, since from lvl87+ i was only doing daily quests. (took me 6 month until lvl100 now).
Hmm, Zhen 15 hrs means at lvl 95 30% XP per day.
Only way to lvl faster is doing DQ, but that is **** expensive... i never did.

wow 20 hours a day for grinding, your friend is grind-a-holic ^^, one level alone from that level range will take me a few days if not a week.
i never do dQ too, it's too boring and yea expensive, doing it for four chars will be deadly boring lol.

not so many people do zhen here in indonesian server, hiero cost like 1.5 times the pw my en price, also no exp scroll to boost exp gain during zhen, the publisher is stupid or almost idiot, if not brainless, to think they can slowdown their players' leveling by not providing exp scroll and tagging highest price for hiero among all pw servers on earth to make more money, that makes them too obvious as a sharky money greedy game publisher m_^,..,^_m

oh don't forget we can use bot too to widen the options lol.

It cannot hurt that the level 100 players on Lost City have their weapons upgraded to +7-10, plus all their armor to +7. Massive amounts of money have been spent on getting their characters to the levels they are. As someone already said, they do share characters.

Yoshiki (leader of Bloodlust, 2nd biggest guild on Lost City and the guild with the first level 100 in PWI Lrod) also multiple accounts to solo bosses like Belial. Many of Conquerer players (the biggest guild and also has the 2nd 100 in PWI Elayne) share accounts to level. Using a heal bot has become a big thing too.

Money seems to be the biggest factor here though...many of the top players brag about spending upwards of $5000 on their characters.

well, spend lots of money is one thing, other thing is time spend...
lvling needs much time, regardless how much you spend on it.
the people bragging about how much money they spend either used it for: refining equipment, buy reputation (candy from item mall), or to buy more IDs.
Solo belial is quite easy, as long as you have a archer that can tank, one of the easier bosses to solo.
i know every hh boss can be soloed, only the last boss in 3-3 though is very troublesome to solo, no other boss requires you to be active at multiple IDs at the same time.
grinding always earns more money than you have to spend on it, enough to buy mp pot and hp fu and be able to go hh for new equips.
zhenning(70+) doesnt need fu at all, mp pot can cover it.
mp fu i seriously only found usuful in TW, everything else pots for fine. (dunno about pk, i hate it, and dont do)
hp fu is a life saver sometimes, but doesnt empty very fast usually
xp scrolls... can save you up to 1/4 of your lvling time, if you frequently spam them, and grind a lot. they dont work for quests, and most only use with good party or zhen, so for most people itll save less time even.
the grinding 20 hrs... happened only during this one week @@
