Recently I was subject to some poor moderation. My opinion was erased. My reputation broken.
This forum is supposed to be a great source for ideas, and until recently I thought it was. I came here, shared my knowledge, gained some knowledge, and had a few laughs in the process. It was a great place for everyone to come and express themselves.
My question to the people is: Should we be able to remove moderators from office? Obviously there would have to be reason. But suppose a moderator abuses their power and removes content they do not like... or mearly content they do not comprehend? How is this all for freedom of speech? I know there have been problems with space... buy why not delete old threads that haven't had activity for a year... instead new threads are taken down due to "non-value added"... wth is that anyway? That's like saying, "We don't value this persons opinion." In fact, it's the exact same thing. And then, the mods will even downsize one's karma. So they get a two for one. Tell some one their opinion is stupid, and make them look bad on the reputation board.
So I ask again, should we be able to impeach moderators?
