I don't think he is, he was referring to Deadline's Moderator application, since I stated 15-year olds aren't necessarily too young.

Hmm, for me, it's not necessarily too young since I became a moderator in the past even if I'm only 14 years old unless the rules have changed.

I still cannot see why you would defend Deadline. He clearly doesn't even know the actual purpose of bulletin boards, how could he moderate them?
Besides, your argument on lanara is invalid. As far as I reckon, he was added to moderate Diablo 3 in the first place and only afterwards becoming also OT mod, being experienced and decent at the job 'n ****

Well, the reason why I am defending Deadline is simply because I never saw him doing a bad job. What makes you think he's not aware of the purpose of boards like this? The fact that he's not interested in the actual topics?
Then again, I'll give you that, a moderator should be actually interested in the topics being discussed in the section one's applying for. However, that's something you cannot ensure in an off-topic area (nobody will ever be interested in all topics, of course). Which leads me to the thought: Does it make sense to apply for Off-Topic in the first place?

Wrong conclusion. You don't need to be interested in all topics, but at least in some. He is clearly not, no room left to seriously debate on that.
