seems a very German thing; I, too, sometimes feel the urge to place one or two commas in places where they clearly not belong

Ditto, when I attempt to talk German I get told my words are the wrong way round
Also, tapatalk is good for elitepvpers but it would be better with an 'easier to use' interface

Well, they aren't exams so to speak, but rather, assignments/essays.
However, they can be considered exams as they contribute to whether you pass as a whole or not. You have to pass every single one, otherwise you have to retake the year or two.
