Well, yes, it isn't forbidden. But if you just want to increase your post count, you could simply visit , since everyone's doing it there. Some people actually try to have a conversation here, and keep up a relatively high standard of talking.
It all depends if the post is useful or at least on topic. If you answer a simple question with yes or no, that isn't spam, unless you are writing yes/no on everything. But there is no rule saying every one word post is spam, just like writing 2 words doesn't prevent you from getting a warning/infraction.
