Which VPS to choose
Hello,
I would like to open a nostale server for the first time but I don't know which VPS it would take. Would a VPS with 8GB Ram suffice? Sorry for my english, i use google translation

You should choose a vps with 6 cores more and less.. Because if not your server will are crash

Thats not true. Crashes are mostly reasoned by bad sources. A good source/emulator doesn't need a server with 6 cores. It depends on the usage and on the state of the source.

The ram is not so necessary (a world with 30-40 users spends 1.5gb). What you need is a good cpu, although with a 3ghz quad core with 6-8mb cache it would go perfectly and without lag if the code is vanilla or is not much modified

You don't have any knowledge, you never had a server and you still pretend to be a genius.
Firstly VPS is not a good choice for server hosting. VPS is a shared server. If you really want to have server without lags you have to invest in a dedicated server.
Secondly not only CPU is important. High quality RAM, SSD, good network. Everything is important.
Thirdly even the highest component values don't guarantee high performance. You can have extremely high values however, if the components are old the machine won't run properly.
I would recommend checking reviews of hosting providers. Don't buy the server as soon as you see good ratings. Use brain and validate them. There is tons of fake reviews.
If you are not stupid then you will definitely find the right server for you. just search

I agree that you should use dedicated server instead of vps, at least if you're serious.

Yes, the ram with more mhz and the hard drive ssd is better, but from ssd to hdd there is not much difference and in case a vps has a minimum 2000mhz in its ram, which is even higher than necessary and regarding the connection with 100mb left over, what if you have to look at is that there is no bandwidth transfer limit

So tell me arguments why fabrics still making ~~8gb, 10gb even more HDD disks, while SDD is "much" better? xD.
