you receive the in 1 packet from invisible player, you can get their localisation. But it seems like we don't receive in 1 packet from GM. Sadly

I think the character's information (weapon, fame etc) can be caught, I have to try it.

If you whisper somebody, there is 4 possibilities :
1) you sent it and he received it (he didn't block it)
2) you sent it but he blocked his whispers : you receive "*** blocked his whispers"
3) you sent it but he blocked his whispers AND he is not o your channel : you receive "*** isn't log in"
4) you sent it but he isn't here : you receive "*** isn't log in"
So you can understand that if there is 7 channels, you have to log 7 bots to know if a GM is connected on a server.
I wanted to get another way to do it, but I have no other solution atm.
