hi everyone! any idea why my server never start ?

starting server"......... I did all steps.

I saw 2 others with the same problem , I change my version of java, 51 down to 45 and nothing happened

what can WE do? I dont know what is wrong with it

Question : did you have the online version installed?

If the answer to question 1 is no, then you dont have the folder installed were it is supposed to be, you will have to do it manually from the file you downloaded, unless its got an install package to do it for you. The folder you are looking for is hidden and is called "program data" not program files. that is were the electronic arts folder is for NfS:W. You have to go to folder properties in control panel and unchek the hidden folder button so you can see the folder in question.

Not only that, the data file shared, only includes the Date folder needed.
One must self create the path of folders that data folder to goes into if they have never installed the game.
So even if you have hidden folders to show, in folder options,
There will be no set of path located in ...My Computer, click OS(c) ProgramData folder and if Electronics Arts not in there after you have even set in folder options [show hidden folders)
-create a folder named Electronic Arts inside the program folder, then create a folder Need For Speed World into that folder. you place the Data folder into that folder.

You must also do that with the shared Porgram(86) needed files.
Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed World
Is the correct path for those files to go into

The file structure in NFSW is different from other NFS games. (Mostly due to user rights from the XP era)

NFSW has 2 components, launcher and client

During the EARLY beta the client and launcher was the the Electronic Arts Folder.

After CB4, it split into 2 different directories.

EA launcher in C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed
That's a paper weight till the community can re-direct it to a third-party update server.

The client(aka main part of game) is/was in the data folder, and NFSW.exe is what you start with the server editor.

Is there a specific reason why it keeps saying "Out of memory" even with java 8 update 51, with python and mitmproxy installed? I know it says it has been fixed. No file paths were changed, i have nfs world's files provided by Dev1ouss as well as the left over nfs world files that were not deleted from the closure of nfsw. And when the readme said to install "ez_install" that didnt do anything

I found a bug when adding aftermarket parts to a Lancia Delta. When choosing bodykits all of them work except the one called carbon fiber bodykit. When you install that kit it reverts to one of the boost ones. Not sure if this happens to anyone else.

I have installed the server onto another computer. The Java-Version is the newest. But I still get the **** "error code 5", what else can I do to solve the problem?

mitmproxy and python already installed successful. The system is "Windows 7 64-bit".

Pursuits
In the Server Folder.
Goto /www/nfsw/Engine.svc/event and open the 2 xml files.
Not the "events" folder, the "event" one.
Open each of the two files in notepad....(right click, open with notepad)
Find and replace <PersonaId>22418201</PersonaId with <PersonaId>RELAYPERSONA</PersonaId> and save the files.

Pursuits will work just fine then

Please, this is a bug thread. Lets try and keep the bugs here and idle chat out in the main page. That way if a bug does get reported then fixed, it wont take 45 minutes to find the thread that it got fixed in. thanks guys.

I thought Out of memory was fixed. If its a java issue, im fully updated and even setting java to use 2gb of memory doesnt work. i really want to try this but it isnt working. (Windows 8.1 64-bit)

what is it you are doing to get an out of memory error? buying a car, selling, tuning it, aftermarket parts... racing? we need specifics if we are to help.
