Lies die Readme.txt .
Meistens steht da das du die minecraft.jar in %appdata%/.minecraft/bin findest mit WinRar öffnen musst und einfach die Dateien reinziehen. Bei manchen Mods steht noch das man etwas löschen musst, aber das erfährst du ja aus der Readme
To install it, first drag the modloader files into the minecraft.jar, then drag the files other than items_overlay.png into the minecraft.jar. Then put the items_overlay.png over the items.png in the \gui\, like as a new layer (using a program like photoshop, gimp, or paint.net. MS Paint will not work for this.). Finally, delete your meta-inf folder. Run minecraft, and it should work. (Note: you need to put the items_overlay.png over all items.png files in your texture packs to make the hookshot visible on those textures).

Öffne Photoshop,gimp oder Paint.net dann öffne die items.png aus \gui\ dann erstelle eine neue ebene und auf diese Ebene setzt du dann items_overlay.png.

Durch ein Bildbearbeitungsprogram die items_overlay auf deine eigene items.png im minecraft.jar Archiv verschieben
