Looking for an Effective Solution to Block Cheats on My Server

Good evening, Elitepvp community!

I am encountering several issues with cheats on my server, from the well-known COM2 to many other cheats, such as M2Bob Retail X, and Stmod, that are ruining the gameplay experience.

I need an effective solution that can block cheats, even if it's a paid one.

Unfortunately, SVSide is not enough, as it can be easily bypassed.

If anyone has faced similar problems or can suggest a working solution, I would be very grateful.

Hello, unfortunately I think that M2Bob is not blockable. I might be wrong but I was trying to battle it in the past with the enigma protector, which also did not help.

I still don't understand how in the year 2025 no ******* server implemented some kind of "helper system" where, if you record someone botting (it IS obvious as ****) and send it in - you will get a small compensation reward.

This on one sides rewards people for being more attentive and scares away botters since now "Anyone could be a GM".

Make the reward big enough

Yes, make it possible for guilds to form around this whole thing as well. To just police the whole map and keep **** at bay.

So we can finally outsource this tasks from normal GMs.

This is the right way to go, but it takes months if not years of development and a lot of ressources, especially if you don't have anything yet.

Until then, its probably best to have a dedicated person just responsible for patching the botfixes i think

Yeah, you can fix most cheats such as waitdamage, moblock, teleport hack, attackspeed, one hit hack (combo) and other obvious stuff in the server source. Lots of pservers already implemented such logic while Gameforge servers are still full of those rage cheaters.

it is easy to fix as on mine if i think or even suspect it is a bot (fishing is easy to spot) or some one cheating i just delete there whole account or accounts and there is no comeback or anything else as it is stated in the game
so be brutal as it is your game so do what is needed

How did you come to the conclusion, that it is easy to spot a fishbot? What kind of criteria are you looking for?

I just ask, because the GF also banned lots of innocent players for fishbotting, while most real bots have good mechanics to take breaks like real humans, causing them of being undetected.

Back in the day we used invisible items which dropped along normal items and only bots did click+collect them up. But since every server is using auto pickup and pickup-all its not a thing anymore.

Guess you have to find a new solution like this, dont try to block bots, try find a way to log their behaivor. Use delayed bans afterwards and never annouce it that you have a unique way of detecting bot movement.
